spring break ♥

Spring break 2010 was spent in Cairns, Queensland with my baby boy :)
We left right on the first day of break, VERY VERY early in the morning O_O
and it's actually even more bizarre cos the boy had to work the day before for 12 hours during Conception Day (yes, my uni supports partying, very very happening yes? :P)

But anyhoo, we got to the airport quarter to 5 fricken am, and we were both very very zombie like. So once we boarded, we kinda konked out and I woke up 2 hours later wondering where we were :P lol!

Heloooooo Cairns! This greeted me when I was kinda awake enough :P

Upon reaching, caught a shuttle into the city and checked into our apartment (which was like super cheap, 80$ a night!!).
And then after which, we had to go find some noms! Decided on Hog's Breath cos we've been meaning to try it out but we never found time back in Sydney and plus, it was just 5 minutes away! And in that sweltering heat and humidity that is Cairns, I really wanted somewhere close! Haha..

Oh, upon entering the girl asked us "Can you speak English?" LOL! Can you imagine how appalled we were?! Hahaha, but I guess it's quite normal since most people there are Japs who can't speak English O.O

After filling our tummies, we went to book some tours and after that went shopping for groceries at Cairns Central. I think sometime after that, we went back and fell asleep again till dinner time! Baby cooked dinner that night :) no piccies here, all on FB, but really was just a really yummy nomellete ;)
That night, we visited Pier Bar on the Esplanade :)

Had coupla drinks and played pool :)



We had a pretty early night, cos the next day we were headed to Cape Tribulation and Daintree Forest, both Heritage listed sites. And it was where the real adventure began :P
